From July to November, 2013, I have been tasked as a Royal artisan within Lochac, by Her Royal Highness, Liadan ingen Fheradaig. Between now and The Fields Of Gold event, I will be exploring helm crests.
I will mostly be focussing on the 15th century, as this is the time period I most often recreate, though I'm sure we'll wander into other centuries.
This blog will be serve a few roles:
* a place to collect information, pictures and text
* somewhere to document my method and the processes trialled in making crests
* an avenue for me to enthuse people (that's you, dear reader) about adding to the pageantry of recreation and encourage people to try something new.
There are 2 other ladies acting as artisans at during this reign. They are studying different fields in different ways. I'll add links to their works - have a look.
